Project Seahorse @IMPAC5 – see you there!
Exciting news for our team and supporters! Many of our team members will be attending, presenting, and chairing at IMPAC5 Canada, the Fifth International Marine Protected Areas Congress, a global forum that brings together ocean conservation professionals and high-level officials to inform, inspire, and act on marine protected areas. Our team is proud to be hosting a symposium “Meaningful MPAs are key to ending Bottom Trawling… and ending Bottom Trawling is key to meaningful MPAs.”
Our director, Prof. Amanda Vincent, will be chairing five thought-provoking talks and participatory discussions on this critical issue. The talks will explore the importance of marine protected areas (MPAs) in ending bottom trawling and how ending bottom trawling is essential to creating meaningful MPAs. Our team members will share their expertise and insights on this topic, drawing on their extensive experience in marine conservation and protection.
Join us in Vancouver, Canada for this exciting event. We invite you to join us on Monday, February 6th, from 4-5:30 pm in Room 121-122. This will be an excellent opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions on this critical issue.
So, mark your calendars and make sure you don’t miss this. We look forward to seeing you there! Together, we can make a meaningful impact on ending bottom trawling and protecting our ocean.
