About us

We are leaders in marine conservation, making discoveries and collaborating globally to take effective action for seahorses and their seas. Our conservation strategy is as multi-layered as the pressures on marine life.

Seahorses are powerful ambassadors for the ocean

Their charm sparks curiosity and helps shine a light on bigger issues facing our world’s coastal marine ecosystems, such as unsustainable fisheries and habitat loss. They are found globally and live in some of the ocean’s most vital habitats: coral reefs, seagrass meadows, seaweed beds, mangrove forests, murky bottoms and even in open waters. With seahorses at the heart of our mission, we rally action that protects the ecosystems they live in and share with countless others.

Project Seahorse is on a big mission

“In saving seahorses, we champion the well-being of our marine ecosystems.”
